FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY WEDNESDAY: Starting tonight, Calvin will bring big surf, heavy rain and winds to Hawaii Island

Then heads south of the rest of the islands but rain still expected

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - As of Tuesday evening, Calvin is more than 200 miles ESE from South Point on the Island of Hawaii. Timeline: Hawaii Island tonight into early Wednesday, Maui County after 6 AM and then for the rest of us into the afternoon into the evening. Most of the rain will fall over Hawaii Island with 4-8″ to 12″, Maui County 3-” and Kauai and Oahu 1″-4″ East shores on Hawaii Island will see 15 ft surf and the rest of us 6-10 feet along east shores. It is a fast moving system moving at 21 mph so it will trek by the islands fairly quickly.
